Caressing sun, crystal-pure sky, renovated nature and spring mood… It is just the right time for tripping to view the beauty of spring from the top of mountains of Uzbekistan.
This year, the “May Alpiniad” brings together friendly and merry company from rated sportsmen, beginners willing to become alpinists and ordinary amateurs of adventurer vacations in mountains. Equipped with all necessary tools, the group moved to conquer the peak of Big Chimgan which is of 3309 meters high.
“For the whole year I have waited for May for to participate in the May Alpiniad. One has got mass of emotions not only from ascents but from funny evening next to fire, songs in accompany of guitar,” shared the impressions the tourist from Russia Ruslan Degtyaryov.
“May Apliniad is the annual action holding a high position in life of an alpinist,” tells the head of Commission on active tourism Vladimir Dolgiy. “This is a time when you have an opportunity for upgrading and communicate with like-minded persons. We offer to conquer peak of Big Chimgan in various directions: there are 14 routes of different categories of difficulty from 1Б to 4Б. Besides, Chimgan tourists can climb to the peak Ohotnichiy. It is the neighboring peak of 3099 meters high with two routes of 3Б and 4Б difficulty rates. ”
It is not important, say participant, whether you are the sportsman or have any rate. Before the ascent, the experienced instructors would inform about the rules and safety regulations in mountains, train how to render first aid, techniques of knotting, how to use ice-axes and climbing irons, self-inhibition at incidence.
Further, it is time for practice that is the portion of adrenaline and unforgettable emotions.
Besides traditional ascents made in Big Chimgan and peak Ohotnichiy, various competitions between rescue groups and alpinist clubs are organized at this period as well. Owing to these actions, participants advance their skills and then use in practice.
This year, competitions on rock climbing in pair – the Dombay pair has already been organized that was dedicated to the memory of Bayskakova, the first woman of Uzbekistan within the national team conquered the Everest (8848m) in 1998. The promising pair of athletes from the alp-club “Vostok” – Dmitriy Rooch and Denis Urlayev came first in this competition.
