On this and many other things the attendees of the meeting talked to that was addressed on interactions between travel enterprises and airports of the republic, representatives of the tourism and aviation spheres. According to all participants, the improvement of service in airports is the important factor in increasing passenger traffic. Issues on increasing the service level and creating the effective system of servicing meeting the requirements of passengers, in particular, tourists, were discussed during the meeting.
The key attention was paid to the International Airport “Tashkent”: they discussed the possibilities of reducing the transit time of checkpoints in airports and baggage claim. The attendees supposed to improve the conditions for servicing disabled and retirees, to organize sightseeing tours for passengers of transit flights, and to arrange the issue on arrival of tourist buses to the ramp.
According to the deputy head of the Tashkent airport on passenger traffic and tourism Ravshan To’laganov, the management of the airport carries out an active work on improving the service level: topical issues have been determined whose successive solution gets fulfilled. Today, all registration desks function, a new batch of luggage trolleys was procured, and trainings on advancing hospitality skills are organized for airport workers.
The Uzbek National Air Company consists of 11 airports. Six of them – in Tashkent, Samarqand, Bukhoro, Urganch, Termiz, Navoi has the status of international airports.
The cooperation of aviation and tourist sector gets developed steadily. The foundation of the tourism department at the National Air Company, assistance in organization of familiarization “mega info tours” for foreign tour operators and journalists, implementation of joint advertising campaign on promoting the tourist opportunities of Uzbekistan in the international tourism fairs FITUR in Spain and ITB in Germany could be served as the example of it.
