
On the territory of the Karkidon reservoir, located in the Kuva district of the Fergana region, 5 hectares of land for 12 lots have been put up for sale, with the condition of investing in tourism projects in this territory.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 978 dated December 3, 2018 "On measures to develop ecotourism and improve the procedure for allocating land plots within the water protection zones of reservoirs", the regional administration has developed an action plan for the implementation of the "Roadmap" for the development of ecotourism in the region.
It is planned to build hotels, motels, resorts, entertainment facilities, restaurants, water sports facilities, a beach area and a pier on this territory. The total cost of the complex is 27.8 billion soums, the implementation of which will create about 100 jobs.

At present, given that the 6-kilometer road leading to the ecotourism zone has not been repaired since 1980, the State Committee for Tourism Development has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade to be included in the “State Development Program of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2021” road reconstruction, as well as construction of 2 vertical wells and installation of a drinking water supply network for coastal infrastructure.
The site is located 12.7 km from the center of the Kuva region on the 4R-112 road, the Fergana-Andijan highway “Tashkent-Osh A-373” and 34.1 km from the city of Fergana. Nearest infrastructure: electricity grid - 3 km, central natural gas network and communication networks - about 6 km.
The reservoir, built in 1967 for the development of agriculture, is fed by the waters of the Isfayram River and the South Fergana Canal. Its total size is 216.0 million cubic meters. The area of the water surface is 9.5 thousand m2. The surface of the water is 5 kilometers long and 5.5 kilometers wide. The maximum depth of the reservoir is 70 meters.
