Representatives of "B-Tween" French production company visited Uzbekistan on June 15 to organize the filming of a documentary about the historical and architectural heritage, cultural and gastronomic traditions of Uzbekistan with the participation of the world-famous actor Gerard Depardieu.
This project of the film about Uzbekistan is implemented by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris and "Uzbekistan Airways" National aircompany together with the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for tourism development.

During the film tour, the creative team of the film company visited Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and other cities, studied architectural and historical monuments, as well as other interesting locations for future filming, got acquainted with the works of Uzbek craftsmen, and tasted national cuisine.
One of the interesting subjects of the film, related to the legend of the "Louvre in the desert" - will be a visit of the French actor to the State Museum of art named after Igor Savitsky in Nukus, which houses unique works of Russian avant-garde, a collection which is considered the second in the world in importance and volume.
The film will reveal the secrets of Uzbek hospitality, an integral part of which is tea drinking and regaling delicious dishes of Uzbek national cuisine.
According to French experts, the film "Silk road" will be a bright face-card of Uzbekistan, presenting the country as a fascinating tourist destination with a long history and rich traditions.
Broadcast of the 52-minute film is scheduled for the best air time on French TV channels. Filming of the main episodes of the film is scheduled for September 2019.
